At GCALS, we are dedicated to transforming Ghana’s construction industry by promoting sustainability and quality assurance, particularly among informal block producers.
In collaboration with our partners from the Netherlands, SpaakCS, Habitat for Humanity International (Netherlands) and TheRockGroup, we are working to improve the quality of blocks and working environment of informal block producers, ensuring their products meet industry standards while enhancing their business potential.
As part of this initiative, GCALS together with a team from SpaakCS visited an informal block production site in Adjen-Kotoku in the Ga West Municipality to explore how best we can work together.
By refining their production methods, we are empowering local producers, creating jobs, and fostering a more sustainable construction ecosystem.
