Quality Assurance Consultant (Contract Role)

Job Summary:
Green Construct ALS Ghana Limited focuses on circular economy solutions in the construction sector. The company is working on innovations such as:
• Researching and developing a local substitute for clinker using alum sludge.
• Implementing technical compliance and social certification for informal block production.
As a Quality Assurance Consultant, you will ensure compliance with local and international standards in the use of calcined alum sludge as a clinker replacement. This role involves working with NETICS BV (Netherlands) to test and analyze materials, verifying their compliance with GS 1118:2016 and other regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess quality assurance protocols and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee sampling and testing procedures for material certification.
• Ensure proper documentation and submission of test results to the Ghana Standards Authority.
• Provide expert recommendations on material quality and regulatory alignment.
Qualifications:
• Experience with construction material certification and Ghana Standards Authority regulations.
• Background in quality assurance, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of GS 1118:2016 and other construction material standards.

Job Title: Accountant (Full-Time)

the construction sector. We adopt innovative and environmentally friendly construction practices,
assuring quality construction materials and support services to the public and keep the green
economy agenda on track.
We are currently working on two main innovations: a. Researching and
developing a local substitute for clinker using alum sludge and b. Developing and implementing
modalities for social certification and technical compliance of informal block production. These two
initiatives are expected to scale up in 2026.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our growing team. The person will be
responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing
accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial planning and forecasting. This is a
hands-on role where the successful candidate will play a critical part in the financial health and
success of the entity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts
payable, and accounts receivable.
• Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with
Ghana’s financial reporting standards
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices, manage payments, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Financial Planning and Forecasting:
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and prepare all relevant tax returns and
payments.
• Bank Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile bank statements with company records.
• Payroll:
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
Any other role assigned by management.
• Data Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced, startup
environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in the use of excel/spreadsheet and any accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with circular economy or sustainable development projects is an added
advantage.
